Buffett's Big Bet On Oil

An Oil Investment So Big It Had To Get Government Approval

Warren Buffett has spent the last decade building up a huge portfolio of alternative energy.

His firm, Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A), has invested more than $30 billion in solar, wind, geothermal, and battery plays.

Those energy sources may be the future…

But oil is still the now.

And Buffett is betting big on oil too.

Berkshire now owns more than 26% of Occidental Petroleum (OXY)

It’s a total position worth more than $15 billion.

And it’s so big Berkshire had to get regulatory approval from the government to make it.

So if you’re worried the oil bull has run its course, don’t be.

One of history's most successful investors and a huge alternative energy investor isn't betting on it yet.
